On November 23, leaders of 38 key high schools in the mainland paid a visit to Hong Kong at the invitation of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and City University of Hong Kong (CityU). Professor Shen Zuyao, President of CUHK, Professor Zheng Zhenyao and Hou Jietai, Vice-presidents of CUHK and Professor Guo Wei, President of CityU, Professor Wang Shiquan, Li Qunsheng, Feng Gang and Cheng Xing, Vice-presidents of CityU attended the welcoming ceremony and hosted this activity. The two universities invited leaders from 38 key high schools, including High School Attached to Shandong Normal University, High School Attached to Fudan University, Nankai High School, High School Attached to Northeast Normal University and High School Attached to Hunan Normal University. Tan Yinghai, Secretary of the Party Committee of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) was invited.
CUHK and CityU are well-known universities widely accepted in the world. They have great attraction to excellent high school graduates from the mainland by their superior location, beautiful campus, excellent faculty, frequent international exchange, unique educational model and broad employment prospect. This time they invited the leaders of key schools of the mainland, aiming to introduce their educational advantages and admission policy in order to attract the excellent graduates from the mainland.
Every year a lot of students with outstanding academic performance and comprehensive quality graduate from AHS. Those students draw the attention of the famous universities of both the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao. Many famous universities in China, such as Peking University, Renmin University of China and University of Science and Technology of China acknowledge AHS into the list of the Real-Name Recommendation System of Secondary School Headmasters. This invitation from CUHK and CityU shows their approval for the AHS graduates who are studying or once studied in the two universities.
