In the afternoon, May 25 and May 27, “Flowers in May” Chorus Festival was held respectively in the two schoolyards of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) in the name of celebrating the 95th anniversary of Chinese Communist Youth League. AHS students including students in both the downtown schoolyard and the Xingfuliu schoolyard attended the festival. Present at the festival as the jury were Wang Yuzhang, AHS Principal, Tan Yinghan, Vice Principal of AHS and General Secretary of AHS CPC Committee, Liu Congjun, Vice Principal of AHS and some AHS department directors.
The chorus contest presented a compulsory song list and a list for free selection. Songs available for selection were songs with high spirits and passions like “Ode to the Motherland”, “My Motherland”, “Yellow River Cantata”, “Hey My Friend”, “Great China” and “Stand up”. Singing the ballads of youth, students expressed their love to their school as well as their motherland. After classes’ show, AHS Teachers’ Chorus and Students’ Chorus from Primary School Attached to Shandong Normal University presented their chorus “the Canzonet of Yimeng Mountain”. The festival ended up with a chorus by all AHS teachers and students, wishing a better future for the school.
