The 13th China Middle School Writing Contest ended. The contestants from AHS Teaching Base for Innovative Composition made outstanding achievements, with 5 students winning the First Prize (Shandong Province), 7 students the Second Prize (Shandong Province) and 14 students the Third Prize (Shandong Province). High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) was awarded to the title of Outstanding Organizer.
AHS Teaching Base for Innovative Composition shall, with the help of the quality teaching research and enriched activities, foster students’ ability of language application and life observation and experience, instruct students to conduct a wide range of reading combined with writing practice and encourage students to write out their heart-felt life experience and feelings. In the meantime of upgrading the writing competence of all students as a whole, a large quantity of writing talents have been found and cultivated, who have made outstanding achievements in writing contests of various levels.
China Middle School Writing Contest, hosted by a combination of Children’s Literature Committee of China Writers Association, The China National Children’s Center of All China Women’s Federation and High School Press Committee of The Workers’ Association of China Children’s Press, has turned out to be one of the non-profit writing contests featuring the widest acknowledgement and has so far been held successively for 13 years, well functioning as a cultural gala for high school students to exchange Chinese culture and carry forward our national spirit and a stage for teenagers to display their literary talent. The contest has attracted more attention of those top universities nationwide, which have expressed their intention to give priority to those prize winners of China Middle School Writing Contest in their independent recruitment.
